When our EndoSan disinfectant comes into contact with pathogens it’s creates a white ‘fizz’ as it does it’s job. It also provides us with a useful insight to our horses behaviour. 🐎🧹 It can indicate the how they move around the stable and in turn it highlights to us were we need to pay the most attention in our biosecurity routine. 🐴🦠 Comment below if you know where the high pathogens loads could be in your horses stable 💬🦠 #healthyhorses #equinedisinfectant #stablemanagement #equinebiosecurity #endosan #equinehealth #biosecurity

Even horses that don’t leave the yard need vaccinating, they are still at risk of Equine Infectious diseases. Risk factors would include things like visiting professionals - farriers, physios, vets etc people that go from yard to yard as part of their daily work, can be vectors of infectious disease. Other risk factors would be airborne diseases like Equine Flu that can travel for approximately 3 miles depending on wind conditions! You can help protect your horses by vaccinating them and by finding out what your visiting professionals biosecurity policy is. You can also provide them with boot dips using our EndoSan disinfectant and hand washing facilities. Only by vaccinating and working together can we keep our horses safe! #equinebiosecurity #stablemanagement #equinedisinfectant #Equine #equinehealth

40%!!!! It’s estimated that only 40% of the uk equine population is vaccinated against Equine Flu! 70%!!! Is what it would take to create herd immunity in the uk! Ours are vaccinated and we’ve just upped our vaccinations to 6 monthly. Because we know that immunity from a vaccination starts to drop after 6 months. And Jeremy AKA the Favourite child is asthmatic and 21 yrs old so in the high risk group! If your horses aren’t vaccinated then speak to your vet today about starting their vaccination course! Head over to our website for our blog on Equine flu and free resources as well as our handy EndoSan travel packs of disinfectant. #equinebiosecurity #equineinfluenza #equinevaccines #agplus #equine

Symptoms - know the symptoms - know the facts Raised temperature above 38.5 C Loss of appetite/depression Nasal discharge (strats clear and turns yellow) Swollen Lymph nodes under jaw & throat Severe cases; Abscesses Ruptured abscesses - thick yellow pus Difficulty swallowing Laboured breathing (strangled sound!) Persistent cough Weight Loss Incubation period 3-14 days (typically 7-10 days after exposure) Recovery time; 3-6 weeks severe cases may take months! Post infection shed; Horses can shed bacteria up to 6weeks after recovery. 10% of horses become carriers. It’s important to do a post infection guttural pouch examination to ensure your horse is clear of strangles. Isolation is key from the first moment you suspect there a problem, isolate the horse straight away and then call the vet! Does your yard have an isolation policy, do your staff know what to do at the first sign of a problem? No! We can help, we create bespoke isolation policies to fit your yard and its layout. We can even do your staff training. Contact Gail to find out more. #stranglesawareessweek #SAW26 #equine #livery #agplus

Mars Badminton horse trials 2026 - The preparations begin weeks in advance. Following deep cleaning by the Badminton stable team, we undertake a multi-stage disinfection programme, three weeks before the event, using commercial battery operated knapsack sprayers to coat all stable surfaces, doors, mangers, walls, floors and passageways with EndoSan disinfectant. This is followed up one week later with a second coating of EndoSan disinfectant on the key high traffic areas, doors, front panels and mangers. For our third and final visit after the bedding has been put down, a round of fogging, is completed before the stables are sealed until the horses arrive. EndoSan disinfectant delivers a 99.999% kill rate against bacteria, viruses, fungi, mould, spores, amoebae, and algae. It remains effective in the presence of organic matter and is fully biodegradable, making it safe for horses, handlers, and the wider environment. Crucially, it is on the DEFRA approved disinfectant list and compliant with FEI biosecurity regulations, which mandate the use of approved disinfectants at equestrian events. We’re proud to have been invited back to support biosecurity at the internationally renowned Badminton Horse Trials for the fourth consecutive year, reflecting a shared commitment between Ag Plus Biosecurity specialists and Badminton Horse Trials to deliver the highest standards of equine welfare, proactive disease prevention, and biosecurity at scale.
