Fusing dance, art making, style, community and a love of South African music, this is not just a party it's a movement. And we want you to join us on the dance floor!
We call it a Dance Jam & Art Social because....
We dance together:
@_afrogirl_ leads us in Amapiano dance lessons, teaching grooves and footwork. Throughout the night we engage the crowd in interactive movement such as the electric slide, soul trains and more.
We make art together:
@cydeva creates a unique drop in art activity for each event, so that you can get creative, play with art materials and try something new. In the past we have had activities like: collage, stamp art, watercolour painting, felt button making, sticker colouring, paint pen on a collective canvas mural and more.
We get social: through the wonderfully curated music, art making and immersive dance moments we encourage you to meet new people. Say hi to a stranger and be warm to those who greet you. You are invited to break free from the social stigma of only talking to who you know and embrace the South African notion of Ubuntu "I am because we are"
