Let's end the year with a reintroduction. The last time I did one of these was last year and so many new people have followed me over the last one year. So...hi to the newbies and thanks for sticking around to the oldies. Let me know if we have any things in common. #abikewrites #iyanuoluwaolorode #ChristianFiction #christianfictionwriter #christianfictionauthor

Reading Love’s Beacon felt less like going through a story and more like sitting through a quiet, heartfelt conversation with God. From the very first page, I was drawn into a world where emotions are raw, questions are real, and healing is not rushed but gently unfolded. What struck me the most was how the story mirrors the journey many of us go through moments of uncertainty, pain, and searching, followed by gradual clarity and restoration. The lighthouse imagery stayed with me long after I put the book down. It wasn’t just a setting; it became a powerful symbol of God’s presence steady, unwavering, and always shining, even when everything else feels dark. As I read, I found myself connecting deeply with the characters. Their struggles didn’t feel exaggerated or distant; they felt familiar. There were moments I had to pause, not because the story was confusing, but because it was hitting something personal reminding me of my own seasons of doubt, waiting, and quiet prayers. The author has a gentle way of weaving faith into the narrative without forcing it, allowing the message to settle naturally in your heart. One thing I appreciated was the emotional honesty. The book doesn’t pretend that faith erases pain instantly. Instead, it shows that even in the midst of brokenness, God is present, working slowly but intentionally. That perspective made the story feel authentic and deeply comforting. By the time I finished, I felt a sense of calm reassurance. It left me reflecting on my own walk with God and reminded me that even when I can’t see clearly, I am not without direction. There is always a light guiding me, even in the distance. Love’s Beacon is more than just a novel it’s an experience. It’s the kind of book that lingers in your thoughts, nudges your spirit, and gently calls you back to trust. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a reminder that God’s love is constant, guiding, and never out of reach. Thank you so much for such a lovely book #christianfiction #abikewrites

Book Review — Love Beacon by Iyanuoluwa Olorode 3.95⭐ I was on page two when I already knew Dapo was too stiff for me, church brothers and seriousness . Regina is your typical chop life girl, the "I don't send you" type, she and God aren't on talking terms and there's Dayo who's goal is to marry someone who can be a "pastor wife".....see the mix? The Love Beacon follows Dapo, whose fiancée ends up marrying someone else… and then both of them become youth pastors in the same church he has always dreamed of leading. On the other hand, we have Regina (Reggie), Tomini’s younger sister, who has drifted away from Christ because of her past mistakes. With Dapo and Tomini being best friends, you can already imagine the tension when Regina and Dapo get closer? One thing I really enjoyed has to be the inner monologues. The conversations in the characters’ heads were witty, sharp, and sometimes hilarious, I loved the clapbacks. The book didn’t shy away from a very real truth: church people can be very judgmental. And I say this not just from the book, but from experience. Sometimes, the people who should hold your hands are the ones who make you feel the most unworthy. I also really loved Dapo’s parents — grounded, wise, and refreshing. Now to Reggie again… 😭 She stressed me. I understand she had a lot going on and needed time to find herself, but some things are just deal breakers. I struggled with her choices, and honestly, I felt more hurt for Dapo having to go through it all. The story clearly mirrors a modern-day Hosea and Gomer, which I appreciated. But I still couldn’t overlook Reggie’s selfishness. And while I understand the concept of grace and forgiveness, it felt like she got forgiven a bit too easily, like too convenient and I know that’s the point, but it didn’t sit well with me emotionally. Overall, the book explores themes of faith, forgiveness, and guilt in a relatable, modern way, and I appreciated that. #bookreview #bookstagram #books

Episode 9 of Aaron and Hur is live! Feedback is hard on many fronts and vital to growth as an author. But how do you differentiate good feedback from bad feedback or criticism? How do you apply it and how do you protect yourself from comments that demoralise you and your craft? We talked about these in the conversation with @ufuomaee . As usual, links are in my story and bio. Enjoy. #aaronandhurseries #christianfiction #christianfictionwriter #feedback #constructivecriticism
