I am very happy to invite you to my talk coming Tuesday (5.5.2026, 18h) for the Artist Lecture Series Vienna. I will talk about works and exhibitions from the last year, as well as earlier works that have had a lasting influence. It would be lovely to see you there. Thank you Ezara and Rainer for the invitation and Skulpturinstitut for hosting! @artistlectureseriesvienna @ezaraspangl @rainerspangl @skulptur_und_raum _ Artist Lecture Series Vienna presents Aaron Amar Bhamra 18:00, 5. May, 2026 Skulpturinstitut, Paulusplatz 5, 1030 Vienna The presentation will be held in English. In conjunction with the presentation, Aaron Amar Bhamra has produced a publication with Artist Lecture Series Vienna. It will be released at the event. Publications are available after the lecture. Aaron Amar Bhamra is an artist based in Vienna. He often procures exhibition spaces that subtly expose their systematics and physical experience by incorporating imprints reminiscent of other spaces or past exhibitions. Bhamra works and teaches at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Expanded Museum Studies. In 2020, he co-founded Laurenz, an exhibition space for artistic experimentation and discourse, which he co-directs with Monika Georgieva.

Kunsthalle Wien @kunsthallewien will install a tree decorated by artists in the Ziegelfoyer at the Museumsquartier for the Artists’ Market on Sunday, 7 December. More than thirty artists living and working in Vienna have been invited to make decorations that will be sold to raise funds for a new inclusion programming that the Kunsthalle plans to introduce in 2026. The decorations include drawings, photographs, ceramics and other unique objects that will be sold for a flat-rate of € 50. The sale will open with the Artists’ Market at 10 am and items will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. - Aaron Amar Bhamra untitled, 2025 Mouth blown glass, print on photo paper

Aaron Amar Bhamra‘s first solo show ‚ppp—fff‘ is on view until November 22, 2025! @_aaron_amar „On a video call between two European cities, A. tells me that all the pieces in the exhibition are contained within the dynamic markings of the show’s title: very very quiet to very very loud. Musical dynamics are not fixed in any measurable (outside) sense. They are relative to what is around them. That is to say, very very loud does not correspond to a particular decibel level, but it is louder than very loud. It’s loudness is contingent on both the quietness/loudness around it and on the relative capacities of the sound producing instrument. A very loud violin, say, is much quieter than a very loud trumpet. Volume is measured. Loudness is negotiated. It’s the cops who carry decibel meters and investigate the noise complaints. But officer…I’m not speaking about the dislocation of the sound and the sound source.“ (Henry Andersen) 1. Aaron Amar Bhamra, notation, 2024–ongoing, print on deviding strip and tape, 24 × 10.6 cm 2.
