spent the long weekend fixating on the homes of Pablo Neruda and decoupaging chairs to match his bar in La Chascona, a home in Santiago named for Matilde Urrutia, his secret lover at the time, later 3rd wife. My Pablo doesn’t understand the fuss!
here is the San Diego Epiphyllum Society (SDES)’s annual Epiphyllum Hybrid (epi) flower show. their website says it’s one of the largest epi flower shows in the country. This year’s theme was ‘Rainforest Gifts.’
epiphyllum / orchid cactus / jungle cactus are native to the tropical rain forests of Central and South America. Their flowers bloom at night attracting nocturnal pollinators like moths and 💙*bats*💙
