Arizona/Havasupai trip day 3
The hike in kicked all of our asses. Swore but determined to explore, Joe and I hiked to Beaver Falls. This trail had multiple water crossing, instead of taking my shoes on and off every time I decided to hike in my tevas. That wasn’t the best idea and by the end of the day I had blisters on both my feet.
By far the sketchiest part of the hike are the chains at Mooney Falls. Definitely not something I would want to do again.
Beaver and Mooney falls are amazing and very much worth the effort to see.
Never made a hard post for this trip, so here it is.
Day 1 & 2 of the Arizona/Havasupai trip
Two days before our permits there was a flash flood in the canyon/campground
Jeff’s camping gear was lost by the airline so Joe and I brought some extra gear for him to use on the trip, though Jeff still had to go to REI and get $500 worth of gear and food for the trip
Hiked around 14 miles the first day. All of which were down hill. My knees and calves were not stoked on that.
2024 Hoosier Club challenge
The SoIn put up a good fight but we lost to Indy in the second round. We were able to beat Anderson county in the first round which qualified us to play next year in Fort Wayne.
The event was held at @boylanacres_disc_golf this year and I can’t wait to come back. If you haven’t played here yet, you’re missing out. Tons of elevation, shot shaping, views and challenge.

Got to play some disc golf out in West Virginia while visiting Erin’s family.
Visited the Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Complex in Fairmont. They have two course there both with two tee pads and two baskets on each hole. I played the more wooded course of the two, Orange Crush. This course was a blast. Challenging gaps and TONS of elevation change on most of the holes
Unfortunately lost a couple discs but that just gives me an excuse to visit @bang_a_chain and pick up some new plastic
Exploring Point Reyes and Muir Woods in the fog/rain with @erockwhite
