One Floor Up is a short form series where random LA life, random film industry chaos, random culture debates, and random group chat energy collide in one apartment.
Four Black creatives Theo, Ayo, Malik and Kelvin bring their thoughts, egos, insecurities, ambition, and completely unnecessary opinions back home to a staff meeting nobody asked for.

Indebted to @losangelestheatre & @fima_mcterith for a truly life-changing experience.
A trip of firsts. My first time outside of America. My first time in Europe. My first time on a long ahh flight. First time through customs. First time at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. First time producing a play.
First of many. I couldn’t be more indebted to the powers that be. To Fiona for believing in me and for sending that first email and to my parents for allowing me to navigate an opportunity so intimidating throughout these past several months.
I am in love with what Edinburgh has to offer and I’m genuinely shocked I had the opportunity to even visit. I met so many beautiful people, created lovely connections, saw some lovely plays, and created a bevy of memories with the people I admire most. What more could I be thankful for?

A daily reminder that the best way to spend your 20s is at the airport, at 6 a.m., running on minimal sleep, boarding a flight that cost less than $150, and heading off to explore new cities, cultures, cuisines, and nightlife with the people you love.

I couldn’t be more indebted to my family for their unimaginable support and the strength they’ve given me over these past four years. There have been so many twists and turns, so many highs and lows but they’ve been there for me every step of the way.
It’s a bittersweet feeling going through graduation, still a bit of work to do but to experience this moment with those I love most is something I’ll never forget.
So much love to the people in my life who have uplifted and gotten me to this point. Forever grateful. To all those I have met at USC, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your unbelievable lives.
