Studio Studio presents a happening titled Caribbean Jazz, in relation to artist Veronica Ryan. Hosted by Whitechapel Gallery. London: June 4, 2026 Book tickets at whitechapelgallery.org [Link in bio] Studio Studio’s Happenings, curated by Rhea Dillon, are a series of public convenings that are born from her and interlocutor’s research practices as a means of direct conversation, deeper listening, and radical sharing. A happening is a congregation of people from differing communities in a public place who can come and go as they please: taking note or taking flight with what is shared. These open events then aim for a spirit to be felt, embodied, and embraced revealing another level to artistic practices’ interpretation. They are therefore available to the public. Studio Studio presented an assembly titled Le Plaisir du Texte,  in relation to artist Tiona Nekkia McClodden. Paris: October 21, 2025. Camille Kingué lives and works in Paris. Her texts primarily explore intimacy, the body, and emotions such as melancholy and shame, while examining how social structures shape individuals. Her writing also takes the form of music criticism and contemporary art criticism. Rhea Dillon is an artist, writer and poet from London, UK. Dillon works across sculpture, painting, olfaction and wide-ranging materials to articulate an aesthetic of diasporic Blackness grounded in a postcolonial nonbeing. Steffani Jemison is an interdisciplinary artist and writer in Brooklyn, New York. In dialogue with interlocutors (living and ancestral), her work connects mark-making, gesture, proposal, projection, movement, and document. Tiona Nekkia McClodden (based in Philadelphia, USA) takes an interdisciplinary approach as a visual artist, filmmaker and curator to interrogate ideas of ritual and order. Traversing documentary film, experimental video, sculpture, sound installation and poetry, her practice explores themes of Black interiority, biomythography and queer poetics. Studio Studio presented an assembly titled Le Plaisir du Texte,  in relation to artist Tiona Nekkia McClodden. Paris: October 21, 2025. • Studio Studio’s Assemblies, curated by Rhea Dillon, are a series of private sessions that are born from her and interlocutor’s research practices as a means of direct conversation, deep listening, and radical sharing. Since youth, assemblies have been understood as a closed door space demanding focused attention in light of a topic or theme chosen by the host in order to teach. These now small intimate convenings then are so language can be heard, challenged, and discussed set in domestic spaces to encourage higher discourse in an active room. They are therefore invitation only • Design identity by Lucie de Bréchard
