Based in London by way of Bristol, Mark (Sharksss) is a producer dedicated to Jungle and Hardcore. Four years immersed in Bristol’s underground - raised on free parties, local sets and long hours in the dance pushed him to take the sound into his own hands. His approach centres on bridging eras: combining old-school sampling techniques with the precision of modern DAWs and hardware synthesis.
“Pongo is my reinterpretation of some of Dillinja’s early ’93 productions, that pivotal moment when the darker side of hardcore was mutating into jungle. His early DAT-era releases on Waveform Records and Deadly Vinyl were crucial reference points when writing and arranging the track. The aim was to deliver something rough and uncompromising, capturing that raw transitional energy through classic sampling techniques... While subtly weaving in modern detail through arrangement and sound design.”

We’re gassed to welcome Sharksss to the label with 2 heavy hitting amen tearouts. We were blown away by the demos this producer sent over, and it was a seriously difficult decision choosing just two of them.
Both of these tracks contain some wicked amen chopping, deep rolling basslines, and ambient soundscapes to give it that classic mid 90s feel.
