愛知県岡崎市にある宿、脈のカーテンを制作しました。
地元の宮ざき園さんからお茶の廃棄を頂き、
それをグラデーションに染め仕上げています🍃

2026年1月7日オープン予定。
これまでとこれからの地域の「脈」をつむぐ宿。
「脈」は、かつて地域の情報拠点だった郵便局をリノベーションして生まれる、一日一組限定の宿です。
岡崎市旧額田郡下山は、昔から自然と人が調和してきた里山です。
この地に元々存在する山の自然や「神水」と呼ばれる地名に起因する日本酒の仕込み水。それを活かして人が関わり育ててきた稲作などの農業。また、水や米を大切に使い、柴田酒造場がつくり続けてきた日本酒。
こうした自然と人の関わりから生まれた暮らしの営みの中で、この地域の歴史は築かれてきました。
水脈、地脈、人脈、そしてその文脈—この地域を形づくる様々な「脈」を感じていただき、これまでのものを大切にしつつも、この地域に新しい脈をつくるための宿です。
そしてこれらが形を変えながらも、脈々と続いていくことを願っています。
I created the curtains for Myaku, an inn located in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
We received discarded tea leaves from Miyazaki-en, a local tea producer, and used them to dye the fabric in a soft gradient finish 🍃
Scheduled to open on January 7, 2026.
An inn that weaves together the past and future “pulses” of the region.
“Myaku” is a one-group-per-day inn, newly created through the renovation of a former post office that once served as the region’s information hub.
Shimoyama, formerly Nukata District in Okazaki City, has long been a satoyama where nature and people live in harmony. The area’s mountains and natural surroundings, along with sake brewing water derived from a place name meaning “sacred water,” have supported local agriculture such as rice cultivation, nurtured by human hands. Cherishing water and rice, Shibata Shuzo has continued brewing sake here.
Through these relationships between nature and people, the history of this region has been built.
Water veins, earth veins, human connections—and the contexts they create.
This inn invites you to feel the many “veins” that shape the region, honoring what has come before while creating new pulses for the future.
And we hope that, even as they change form, these living currents will continue on endlessly.
2026年 御祝
今年もよろしくお願いいたします。
昨年はたくさんの展示会をさせて頂き、海外のお客さまにもたくさん届けられました。
今年は少しゆったり、工房とギャラリーが一体となったアトリエを作ろうと考えています。
スタッフも増やしていけたらいいなと希望をもちながら。
こうして一着一着ゆっくり撮影をすると、
この子達は愛されてつくられた。と再確認できます。
私がとても時間をかけて愛情を込めてつくったものです。
しかしながら私の手では足りなくなってきた嬉しい事もありました。誰かと繋いでいけるように誰かとつくっていくことも考え始めました。
一着をつくるのに膨大な時間と労力を必要とし、私の時間は限られていました。それでも作り続けていきたい。
その気持ちを、違う角度で捉える必要がありました。
mother私たちは、「はい辞めた」と言って辞めることができません。常に時間は流れ、子は私たちを必要としている。とても幸せなことであり、時に逃げたくもなります。
それでも私たちはmotherであり続ける。一人の女性として、一人の人間としてその上にmotherがあることを忘れてはいけません。

New Year’s Greetings 2026
Thank you always for your continued support.
Last year, we were fortunate to hold many exhibitions and deliver our pieces to customers overseas as well.
This year, we plan to slow down a little and begin creating an atelier where the workshop and gallery coexist as one.
With hope, we also wish to gradually welcome more staff into our journey.
As I take time to photograph each piece carefully, I am reminded again that these garments were made with love.
They are creations into which I poured an immense amount of time, care, and affection.
At the same time, I am grateful to feel that my own hands alone are no longer enough.
This has led me to begin thinking about connecting with others and creating together.
Each garment requires an extraordinary amount of time and effort, and my own time is limited.
Still, I want to continue creating.
To do so, I realized that I needed to view this desire from a different perspective.
As mothers, we cannot simply say, “I quit,” and walk away.
Time continues to move forward, and our children continue to need us.
This is a great happiness, and yet at times, it can make us want to run away.
Even so, we remain mothers.
We must not forget that before and beyond being a mother, we are also women and human beings—and that mother is one part of who we are.

Using the leftover dyes from the dyeing process, I make small sketches—an exploration of lines.
These will be wrapped and given to those who make a purchase.
利用染色時剩下的染料，我會做一些塗鴉，是對「線條」的思考。

去年直接agedの宿に会いにいきました。
その在り方は私たちと同じ、考えでした。
agedの宿はすべてが洗練されていて、はっとさせられます。
The group exhibition in Taiwan is finally beginning.
Last year, I went to visit the team at aged no yado in person.
Their way of being and thinking deeply resonated with ours.
Everything about aged no yado is refined and inspiring.
在台灣的聯合展終於要開始了。
去年我親自去拜訪了 aged 的宿。
他們的存在方式和想法與我們非常相似。
aged 的宿裡的一切都十分精緻，讓人深受啟發。

這不只是展覽，它提供一種可能。
一種親手觸碰土地、傾聽自己，也傾聽自然的生活方式。
藝術不在於完美，而在於分享：我們是誰，我們如何看世界。
藝術家讓你看見那些平日難以捕捉、卻一直存在心底的事物。
有時陌生，有時熟悉，像透過你的眼睛在看。
這些凝視，提醒我們可以成為什麼樣的人。
藝術，它是一種生活。
雙手碰過土地，生命化為形體，情感與記憶被安放其中。
《 A Way of Living 》是藝術家生命的延伸，也是我們走回自然、走向內心的路途。
