Officially, this is my Happy New Year post. Mine kicks off in March actually so I’m good on time.
I wanna say a big thank you to me for seeing this through bc I spent a huge chunk of the last 2 quarters of 2025 looking for some clarity about my journey as an artist/ creator. Before the end of this personal project, I had 70% of the clarity I needed.
By the end of editing this video, I was very convinced.
The year ahead is unknown, but full of possibilities.
I think 2026 is gonna be the most personal year I’ve ever had.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this; approaching success in life on the back of “what kind of person do you want to be” VS “what achievements do you want to reach”?
“Who do you want to be known as”, VS “what do you want to prove”?
So, I sat behind this beat produced by @bruks.beats and “dwin wo ho” was the phrase that kept coming up.
I hesitated at first because my Twi within the confines of my safe spaces barely garners the respect it deserves, and now I want to share it with other people? Crazy.
But it really worked in the moment, so I wrote and recorded the song, Eyes Front (link in bio as usual).
“Dwin wo ho” asks of you to think of yourself in a ‘mind your business ‘type of way* (my POV). Thing is, I mind my business a lot but in a self-absorbed way that focuses on what’s wrong.
Re: the first paragraph of this personal essay. If I keep that in mind then I have to ‘dwin’ of the things I say I want to do and never do but more specifically, the person that will be built by these exact habits.
And I know this can work because I think of getting to the end of this challenge a lot😩, and all I see is me realizing I quite enjoy content creation (makes sense as it’s been my job for a long time).

Not gonna lie, learning how to record myself and apply some basic engineering to my vocals + teaching myself production et cetera has been and is still pretty fun to do.
But some days (and nights like this) I wish I could lock myself up in a studio for a week with like-minded folks and just lose myself in creativity.
