Last but not least: @__lo.rel is a DJ, visual artist and co-founder of Hyphen. Lorel grew up on the West coast of the U.S., influenced by its open-minded culture and psych-punk music. This energy was easily translated into Berlin’s techno scene once she arrived. Her preferred sound is energetic, psychedelic and a bit cheeky. She likes to shift within a range of different genres in her own sets & the guest mixes she organizes for hyphen. While DJing or on the dancefloor, she seeks these special moments in which the music, dance, smiles and glances add up to one palpable sensation. She joined hyphen in the early stages to design a poster or two, and has since had a large role in steering the project, creating all our visual elements. A bit internet-addicted, when you write us here you’re probably speaking with her ;) Lorel is getting Lark warmed up next week, opening the party at midnight and then handing off to @vaunamusic with a period of b2b.

On Fri, Sept 26, Hyphen lands at @lark.berlin to host another night of our rolling b2bs. This time prepare for mental trips on complex percussion, divergent basslines, and a certain psychedelic character. Brought to us by two guest artists @notteinfinita & @air_protection_office , plus three of the hyphen crew: @vaunamusic , @blancawhite , & @__lo.rel . Each artist will play an hour solo, bookended by a period of b2b with the one who plays before and after. An uninterrupted stream of music from start to end, influenced by the flows, impulses, and chemistry of one artist combining with the next. Excited to hear how the night develops 🌀 see you there :)

🍭 it was an enormous pleasure to close down @foam.berlin ‘s first party at @fitzroyclub a few weeks back. I usually play a much faster/techno-oriented sound but I also loooove this progggy, funky, acid-y sound as well and I had a blast bringing this vibe to wrap up this party :) Wanted to share the track list & say thanks once more to everyone 👯‍♀️ 👯 👯‍♂️ The set is up on FOAM’s SoundCloud if you wanna hear it :)
