I had the opportunity to speak on a panel for The Marlies Black Excellence: Career Forum. I got to join black individuals that work for MLSE in positions you don’t normally see us in. So we were asked to talk about our experiences/journeys as black professionals in these spaces to black/BIPOC Students who are looking into entering into the l Sports and Entertainment industry.
I’m grateful and honoured to be seated with this group and give to these students tools I didn’t have or had to learn on my own!

YAAD 🇯🇲✨ Translation "home" in Jamaican patois.
The feeling of YAAD represents a deep emotional bond drawing you back to the island, no matter where you may be. It is a feeling of pride, identity, and a deep love for our culture and heritage.
The Jamaican kitchen atmosphere is one of warmth, energy, and vibrancy. It is a space for family and friends to share a meal, stories, laughter, and love. It is the heart of the home and is often the busiest room.
The sound of pots and pans clanging, the aroma of herbs and spices, and the rhythmic chopping of ingredients all contribute to the lively atmosphere. The conversations flow freely, laughter fills the air, and music plays in the background, adding to the joyful ambiance while enjoying rich Jamaican cuisines.
