let me introduce you to one of the badboy tools behind the scenes making greatness
the mata pencil / mata odo duo come together like two peas in a pod; these two walked so the modern day blender could run - I used both for the first time the other day
mata pencil is the long stick / pestle used to pound your ingredients & the mata odo is the grinding base / bowl
we used these in cooking a variety of dishes, one of which - the lovely, the amazing krain krain which is easily top 5 sauces to come out of SL, argue wit u papa

already in the few days Iāve been here Iām seeing that this vehicle is practically the nationās saving grace when it comes to transportation
introducing the KEKEH ā itās relatively cheap to use, durable enough to fight back the vicious potholes & widely accessible around the city to get you from point A to B - the kekeh is one of the most popular forms of transportation used in Freetown
theyāre typically sat on 3 wheels, with a sheltered top and compared to itās counterpart ride sharing services like Uber, Lyft and co out in the western world, all you have to do is stand roadside and hail for a ride (usually shared to ensure drivers get the most return out of every drop of fuel spent); experiencing a journey in one of these across town just about scratches the surface of the fast paced nature of life in the countryās capital
