Inhabiting a vacant space; through ordinary gestures and rituals of care, we observed and video-documented how living together shapes space and how space in turn affects behaviour, relationships, and attention. The documentation of the stay, including domestic scenes, was projected on nearby vacant spaces, highlighting their potential.
Through this superimposition, a map of new imaginaries was shared with an audience, questioning what these buildings could become rather than what they are waiting for.
Living in a vacant space became both a method and a statement: a way of paying attention, of opening space through use, where inhabiting becomes a poetic and political act.
