▶️The past 2 years I was outside surviving off of freelance design and full-time DJing. It was a hustle but it kept my sword sharp. It became second-nature. During my run of gigs, my peers and followers kept urging me to record a mix.
Awaiting the right moment. I was letting life flow. When Bakari approached me to play at his first pop-up everything clicked into place.
From the dance scene to Sun Rice, to After Ours, and everything in between. We've been here. I've been here. Being present with my peoples. Using whatever skills I had contribute to our village of cultural movers.
With us being within the scene, the same taste and excitement with music and Sun Rice continuing to be a hub of events and community. Bakari and I didn't even have to say a thing. We already knew what was up. Automatic.
