404 Day is a celebration of the SP-404 a linear sampler, workstation, and incredible effects unit developed by @rolandsynthandaira and @rolandglobal !
Why do we celebrate a sampler you might ask? This one has become iconic due to it's quirky unique sound and clunky step sequencer that played a major roll birthing the Lo-fi movement/style of beat-making!
This year I'm excited to be hosting it with @audiowaveworks ! We have over 15 artists playing their original music this Saturday @tazthetailor 's in Midtown Detroit. Come celebrate the weird and fascinating sounds and sights of the SP and their technicians this weekend!

Over the last year I’ve spent each month crafting music for a musical journal of sorts. I’ve spent the last year pushing myself sonically. 3 years ago today we met & adopted this boy named Blue. Love the death out of this guy. Took him to Belle Isle for his Adoptaversary and we played a lil football. If you have the chance, I whole heartedly support adopting a rescue buddy.
