Designing a spiral staircase is one thing, but crane-lifting a bespoke, hand-fabricated steel stairwell into a tight residential site is a whole different kind of precision.
This lift was a masterclass in site organisation. Our foreman planned every detail in advance - from site access, timing and millimetre-perfect positioning of each piece of steel so the installation could unfold seamlessly.
What you’re seeing here is the skeleton of a future sculptural centrepiece of the home. The design and fabrication were put to the test on install day, and our site crew made the heavy lifting look effortless. Every piece fit perfectly - thanks to all the architects and site team behind the work.

Even in this unfinished state, the patina and the rhythm of the shadows create a powerful presence. By handling both the design and installation ourselves, we can push the limits of industrial materials in a domestic setting.
We’re as impatient as you are to see the final timber treads and finished surfaces in place.
We're a bit biased but, we’re fairly confident these are the best-looking site stairs in Sydney.
