I’m super excited to announce my first listening session pop up at Sauvage Natural Wine Bar. I have been wanting to bring the Backroom sound system to a bar since I started my listening room and it’s finally happening. I’ll be joined by selectors @stellarwell_______ and @tknicholson to bring you an evening of programming that will make you melt in your seat. @mas.amable_az will be cooking up some wonderful food in the kitchen for dinner. Had a wonderful Sunday morning spinning records with friends at Restaurant Progress. Gonna plan this summer and start doing these listening hangs once a month beginning in the fall.
We took the system to the Grand Majestic art show and had a great time spinning jazz records all night. Thanks to everyone who came out.

I haven’t really mentioned the new piece of equipment in the backroom. This is a Resor 2525fx mixer. At the heart of their mixers lies a proprietary Class A Discrete Op-Amp, which delivers an impressively flat frequency response and ultra-low distortion. The phono input preamplifier within this mixer is also outstanding, boasting a monumentous frequency response between 10hz to over 30kHz all while sounding natural and not harsh. I really love the design of this mixer. I chose the Urei Knobs and bronze faceplate and I rly love how they look together although he has many options available for customization. This mixer makes all styles of music sound absolutely wonderful and during my first few weeks of listens I was hearing sounds I wasn’t able to pick up with the Omnitronic. I am forever a Resor fan now.
Also this is the first time I’ve talked about any equipment so lemme know if I should post more about the gear in the backroom.
