Adia & I met Ross and Angelo while we were living in Houston TX for five years - after I stumbled into one of their early warehouse parties and randomly ran into Ryan Crosson, a friendly face from my home, here in Detroit.
It became immediately apparent these guys had the vibe I wanted to connect with while living down south.
Angelo, Ross, Adia and I were immediately kindred souls - and worked together to bring the Renegade Detroit Warehouse Culture of the late 90’s to Houston, which had no such space when I arrived in 2013. Where the system, the DJ and unfiltered dancing were the focus, late into the night.
We built some amazing spaces and hosted a few legends throughout our run.
We have a proper FAROUT MUSICA journey through sounds, styles, emotions and tempo coming together to share with you on Saturday. Can’t wait to GET DOWN 🔥

This month’s mix comes from Angelo V— Texas-born, now shaping Chicago’s underground with deep, spaced-out funk delivered with intent.
With a debut EP on the way via TIED Records, an upcoming show at the end of May, and ongoing work as KIN (with Christian Thomas), Angelo is carving his space in the city’s leftfield.
Lock into a slow-burning session of elastic grooves, warped percussion, and psychedelic swing — equal parts movement and meditation.
Back in December, he remixed a track for Mercalli co-founder, Martone, on MERC004, and has a vinyl release incoming as Cadillac Ants (with Ross Kelly) via Seven Davis Jr.’s Secret Angels.
