To challenge the expectations of what seating itself means for society – in both comfort and context – designers throughout the 20th and 21st century have stripped back, exaggerated, turned to carpentry, industrial means and many other methodologies to reinterpret the chair as distinguished expressions of aesthetic movements.
Nervous Breakdown, our first exhibition @space___ , was a showcase of our archive of chairs, spanning decades and designers. All the chairs were part of our first timed online auction, which saw a few exciting bidding wars.
