We’re excited to present PUENTES, an exhibition showcasing the work of Lápiz Objects, Mark Morones, Max Hertz, Carlos Rittner, Gabriela Forgo, Ombia Studio, Rhian Swierat, Studio GA, Studio Ayres, and Terrestre.
Opening: Saturday, April 19, 5 — 8 PM
On View: April 19 — May 3 (by appointment only)
This exhibition brings together artists and designers working across various materials to explore the intersection of art, design, and functionality. It highlights objects that challenge traditional definitions—works that are not only seen but engaged with. More than a showcase, PUENTES serves as a space for emerging artists to connect, exchange ideas, and build a creative community that values both form and purpose.
Curated by two ceramicists, the exhibition focuses on how objects exist between disciplines—where sculptural presence meets utility, and where craft and concept merge. By fostering dialogue and expanding creative networks, PUENTES invites reflection on how thoughtful design shapes our daily lives.
The title, PUENTES (Spanish for “bridges”), encapsulates both literal and metaphorical ideas of connection. As a noun, it signifies a structure that links two points, much like how this exhibition brings together artists and ideas across disciplines. As a verb, it conveys the act of uniting—building relationships, merging practices, and intertwining perspectives. In this space, objects act as bridges themselves, spanning the boundaries between art and function, craftsmanship and concept, tradition and innovation.
