EX-SISTERE by Mia Naja extended until March 28 ~ Viewing hours Saturdays 12-4pm @mia.naja 🪾 M825E1, 2023 White plaster   “Since October 2023, a series of fires caused by the illegal use of white phosphorus has devastated lands in southern Lebanon. This prohibited chemical compound has led to the destruction of more than 47,000 ancient olive trees.   (I) recreate shriveled, dried olives, each one tinted with the white of phosphorus. To this day, 5,000 olives have been crafted. (I) will continue producing them for as long as this ecocide persists.   Legend says that this is the very tree from which the dove plucked the olive branch after the Flood (Genesis 8:11), a tree believed to be nearly five thousand years old.”

EX-SISTERE by Mia Naja ~ extended through March 28 👁️🪾 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘸, 2025 Laser-engraved Lebanese bread, scented with a perfume derived from the artist’s family’s Palestinian rosary   The bread is engraved with official family documents tracing the artist’s great-grandfather’s displacement from Palestine to Lebanon during the Nakba (1948), as well as the subsequent records of his children.

EX-SISTERE 🗝️🗝️Opening Saturday 2/21 5-8pm with a performance at 7:30 by @mia.naja & @corentinbouby The project brings together sculptural work by Lebanese artist Mia Naja and a performance by Naja and Fench dancer Corentin Bouby. 𝐁𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐑 𝐙𝐎𝐍𝐄 👁️ a performance by Corentin Bouby & Mia Naja 👁️ at the opening of EX-SISTERE, Feb 21 🪾 @mia.naja @corentinbouby Corentin Bouby was born in the south of France and lives and works in Paris. His raw, physically engaged practice explores the tension between body, space, and matter, exposing the porosity that emerges through the trial of contact. Constraints, resistance, and energy collide, revealing the body’s memory, its fragilities, and its limits, while inviting the viewer to confront their own inner tensions. Trained in high-level classical dance during his adolescence, Corentin later studied urban space and its uses, developing a sensitive approach to the relationships between body, environment, and perception, before fully committing to performance. He is currently an assistant and performer for visual artist Pascal Hachem, collaborating on projects presented in major institutions such as the Grand Palais, the Monnaie de Paris, and the Théâtre de Chaillot. In October 2025, he took part in his first group exhibition, Dissonant Shelter, presented at 229 Lab during Art Basel Paris.
