I even played two of my own tracks... It has everything hehe!! Big thanks to all friends who came to support and made it feel like home ❤️‍🩹🎢 This was my first gig after more than a year-long break and boy I didn't even know how much was missing from my life w/o playing... I have never really talked publically about why I stopped, but to put it simply, I burned out hard... Back 2024 I was super determined to get myself out there as an artist so I really was going hard, I went out every week to events with the goal to make connections.. This was going fairly well and I hit all my goals untill eventually, as I got deeper into the scene, I started seeing things and patterns that I didn't like... On the surface it's all fun and games but there's also a dark (and pretty obvious) side to this party world that I just couldn't get over... Over time this has really started getting to me and I started doubting why do I even want to be here, I didn't know if I like playing anymore or just the attention. Everything started feeling fake, I wanted to become friends with everyone, but not because of genuine interest, but with the vision of getting booked... And that's where I missed the key part of the underground music scene (and life general I guess lol) - ✨genuine connection✨or something :d Not realising this I kept going and it really started to undermine my mental health. This also paired with me getting evicted in May that year and not being able to find a stable home till October... Last straw was when I had to move for the fourth time in five months, I ran out of my strenght and had to take a huge leap back from everything. (continue in comments)
