Welcoming to the stage our trusted record-shop sellers who, alongside the residents, will complete our lineup celebrating all things wax on #recordshopday at @honeystreet.studio . Firstly Etienne Groh (@haunteddancehall ) the mastermind behind the stacked shelves of the Brunswick Mill shop alongside the effervescent @claren.dispute . Etienne has specialised in electronic music, he caters to many palettes whilst finding threads of sonic overlap whilst being as eclectic as possible. His deep knowledge of records, producers and the scene is well known and is clear from the long line of regulars eager to dig through his latest batch of new releases or delve into his ever growing list of second hands. With many feathers in his hat he is behind labels @af1268_records , @dispute.records and Haunted Dancefloor as well as downtempo party series Positive Harmony with @claren.dispute and @nikol__music . We also welcome @jovak___ and @birrell___ , the front-runners of @___scuttle and @__headspin with an intricate musical knowledge. Both are well respected for their bottomless collection of rare digs across the deep and dark - from twisted minimal to psychedelic prog. Not just talented selectors, both Jovak and Birrell are skilled producers, with refined productions out on esteemed labels 199 and Real Interactions. Expect a few unreleased numbers peppered through their sets for good measure. To complete the bill the residents will be dotted across this stellar lineup. Introducing @nushee.n who will add her rich fusion of sound waves to the @honeystreet.studio day and night affair. Fresh off the back of supporting @lordoftheisles for @timescape.gla ’s birthday event in her current home of Glasgow. Nusheen brings unlikely fusions of gritty house, wigged-out lofi steppers and oddball dubwise gems. Her sets can often be described as sonic collages, using elements such as echos of the middle east, rnb acapellas, or her own production tools to create a distinctive sound. In the past she’s supported acts such as Pessimist, Ben UFO, Lyster and DJ Sundae. Checkout her @crop.radio and @kula.tv sets to delve further into @nushee.n ’s broad palette. Headlining the day event with his curious and expansive selections is @fkaboursin FKA is a DJ and producer out of Bristol, with releases on @accidentalmeetings and more recently @scissorandthread label in Brooklyn, New York. He is interested in a deep, ambient-infused house music that explores the political demotions of clubs and identity politics. Combining an array of digital sound with diverse samples from the real world and beyond, FKA threads a deep groove for moments of introspection, connection and movement. Introducing @na_one_ who will headline with the 3-hour late slot Naone will bring laser cut selections for guaranteed peak time energy, interspersed with moments of detail and nuance. She will be hot off the heels of a USA tour where she will spin at the renowned @nowadaysnyc club in New York and at the next instalment of the @__pi_pi_pi_____ series. After becoming a key figure in Seoul’s local scene, Naone quickly found her place in Amsterdam, where she became a regular at spaces such as @garagenoord , @deschoolamsterdam , @nano.clubs , and with illegal rave collective noclubs, as well as at the city’s flagship institution, @dkmntl . Beyond her reputation as a DJ, Naone is also an increasingly focused and expressive producer. With three solo EPs and a collaborative project with her longtime friend @s.o.n.s_ she has released on labels including @uttu.club , @warning._____ and Safe Trip. A great DJ can take you to places that don’t seem to exist outside day to day life, and ignite feelings that only exist in imaginary places. Our next guest, Meg Paine, uses those places of escape to craft her surreal, spaced out sets. “This is how I prep my music for a gig, just daydreaming of great times while listening to records.” (Phelt Magazine, 2025) Often focused on a range of sounds across the spectrum from the ‘90s, Meg’s sets are euphoria laced and trance inducing. The fluidity and ever-evolving nature of Meg’s sets make each compilation of music a special journey. For keen diggers and dance music enthusiasts, this one is not to be missed. For those with their fingers on the pulse, our next guest’s name will be very familiar. Meg Paine is a versatile selector who plays a range of sounds across the house music spectrum. Her pedigree as a DJ is clear through her residencies with London’s Spiritland and radio station Balamii, previously working closely with the legendary Secretsundaze and multiple live appearances at iconic venues such as Fabric, Lion & Lamb, and The Cause. Over the past few years, Meg has been one of our favourite deejays to listen to online, involved with many esteemed mix series such as Trush Mix, Esencia, and Origins. Over the past year DJ Popup @popup_nes has been appearing on radio stations all over the globe, showcasing his steezy selections of all things house and teasing a plethora of forthcoming music. From being invited onto NTS radio by legend of the scene Shanti Celeste, putting together a stand out mix for Mexico’s finest mix series “Esencia”, to playing closer to home for Copenhagen based Drift radio- both at their radio HQ and their latest street party. Often opening his sets with ambient adjacent slow jams or floaty mid tempo house, both are a warm welcome. As they progress, he goes from strength to strength, travelling through various eras of house music; whether it’s soulful and sexy US house, influential tech house from the beginning of the 21st century or unreleased music from Denmarks best producers, he delivers right on time. Denmark may not be the first place that comes to mind when you mention house music, but for those in the know, the signature sound it has crafted has become one of the most distinctive and compelling sounds out there. Copenhagen-based DJ Popup @popup_nes is one of those at the helm— a slept-on selector who lets the music speak for itself. His body of work on his imprint, NES, showcases infectious, low-slung basslines with endless swagger, driving tracks like “PU’s MPC” and “Memory Hole.” On the title track “Efune” from his 2023 release, he takes a more emotional and spaced-out approach to club music. Between his early clubbing days and launching his label in 2019, Popup has established himself as a respected peer of Aarhus’s most influential figures — artists like C.K, DJ Sports, Manmade Deejay, and Central, who have been at the forefront of Danish house music for the past decade, running renowned labels such as Help Recordings, Regelbau, and No Hands. On August 2nd, Popup will bring his extensive collection of ’90s deep house, understated US house, no-rules techno, unreleased tracks, and much more to the Radio Room @ Stage & Radio, Manchester.
