This King’s Birthday weekend HAVEN celebrates our lizard overlords with another double international weekender on the @galaxybarchch dance-floor 👾💦👾💦 Saturday May 30th we invite HAVEN signee and Berlin techno weapon @valerie_ace_ in to our booth with her distinctly futuristic sound that spans rave degeneracy to dub and Detroit influences amongst razor sharp sound-design. This has led to releases on the likes of Intrepid Skin, BNR, Mama Told Ya, KAOS/OAKS and beyond as well as sets at RSO and Tresor in Berlin, Fold London, Stone Techno Festival, and OIL Shenzen. Kicking off the night we have Ōtautahi’s @tom.plum taking over the HAVEN floor for the first time, while our resident @theratttttt will warm your souls before our guest… __________________________________ Sunday 31st May we celebrate the Monday off with a live set from UK dance music stalwart Guy Brewer’s most recent project @c_a_r_r_i_e_r_ . He made his name with previous forays in DnB as part of Commix, releasing on Metalheadz, Exit, and 31 Records, and in techno as Shifted, founding the Avian label and exploring rhythmic noise, drones and dubbed minimalism. 2023 saw the launch of Carrier on The Trilogy Tapes, distilling influences from DnB, dub techno, and experimental electronics into an approach valuing space, simplicity, and atmosphere over adherence to genre. His passion and drive for his music has been admirable since his start in the city. He’s a talented young producer with top taste and influences that match our vision for the Attic stage.  It’s also his birthday the day of this post so we’re going to put it on proper for him 💗 Shli is the main alias of Ōtautahi-based artist Tim Ward. Stitching together infectious rhythms layered over low-end pressure, Shli’s sets draw influence from across the hardcore continuum and beyond. Creating dancefloor moments from trippy rhythmic states to unleashing sheer bass weight. Over the years he’s been steadily releasing productions on local labels like @echotrainrecs , @feeling_blue_studios and @thebigfreshcollective , As well as gaining international support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Laksa and Plastician to name a few.
