Mortal Kombat 2 is out!!! Even though the credits don’t reflect it I promise I was there! Many months of work before the SAG strike closed it down, I was lucky to be apart of this production thanks to designer Nikki Gooley for getting me back. Unfortunately I couldn’t return for the second half, but it was a privilege to a small part of it while I could. So many artists put their blood sweat and tears (literally) into this production, and I hope they’re all proud of what we all collectively created! (I’ve tagged everyone I worked with on my makeup account, I just don’t want to annoy them all with all my tags on this one) Some BTS while filming. Never a dull moment living and working in the GC. Europe food diary 2026

I’ll never fully understand how life led us to this moment, but I’m honoured to be part of a creative, supportive team of filmmakers who respect one another’s craft and are committed to creating something we can all be proud of. Imposter syndrome is very real when I think about the other artists I’m surrounded by in the makeup category, so being recognised among them is truly incredible. I’ve collected my thoughts and hugged my dogs, so I can actually thank people properly now. Firstly @kazgower_hmua and @adeleshearwin : the powerhouse dream team the world was never ready for. We worked tirelessly throughout rain machines, drowning kids, purple lipstick, wig transformations, car crashes, vomit…you name it. This was hard, I shed a single tear in the hair washing basin one day and that’s when we knew if we can get through this we can get through anything. Ride or dies you two. @scarecrew_studios a creative genius. Larry comes out with the most incredible designs and will always execute them incredibly no matter the constraints. He is incredible to watch and an asset to any production he is on. His team in the workshop and his on set crew(@missmariel @lenny_irwin ) are incredible in their own right and contributed so much to this HUGE production. @makeupeffectsgroup makeup designs were so beautiful and meticulously created, it was an honour to see them in action on this one and I am in awe of how they work with their designs. I’m trying not to blabber on too much but @therackaracka @michael_philippou _I feel so lucky to be apart of your team, and I’m so so glad the world is invited to witness your brilliant brains - we wouldn’t be getting these shiny things if you weren’t at the helm telling us where to go. @sam_jennings_ and @carlymaple are powerhouses the industry need to bow down to. Enough said. Last but not least. I would not be the person I am today without the support of the guy in the last slide (I’d genuinely be dead or worse). I’m constantly leaving him to go to somewhere stupid to play make believe and I love him for letting me do it without question. You’re my best friend and my trophy wife. Little family holiday/working holiday to end the year. Watched lots of music. Then some more music. Then a bit more. Then we watched the new year’s sun rise from a mountain top with Tibetan monks chanting in the background. Why not, hey?!

We made a big ol show in the outback. It’s really quite good. You should all watch it. Territory - on Netflix now!! A very special job that you wouldn’t often experience. I don’t have many photos of the last couple months of life. It’s been full of many hours of work and thinking like I’ve never thunk before, and love and pure passion and mud, and making forever friendships. I have no words for @kazgower_hmua and @del.sfx for getting us through to the end of this mammoth film. But they know how much I love them because I told them in the toilets at the wrap party. I also don’t have the right words for @therackaracka @michael_philippou …. thanks again for taking me along for the journey, I love seeing your brains work and I love being apart of the creation. Forever forever and ever please. To @makeupeffectsgroup and @scarecrew_studios it was the greatest pleasure to work alongside your brilliant minds and teams. Now. I need to lie down.

Dunno if anyone’s noticed but we got a puppy.

Last post before I fall asleep forever. The last couple days have been very surreal and I’m not sure I really know what’s happened…..Talk To Me was a film made by a whole bunch of friends, and I think it shows. It took out best sound, best editing, best original score, best screenplay…..and best hair and makeup I’ll figure out how to talk about how I feel one day…but there’s a series of photos of my face in this post that I think explains it…….
