Cuando realice esta pieza pensaba en una tela teñida con un color degradado, buscaba utilizar la misma textura de la tela, normalmente cuando preparo una tela los poros se cierran y se convierte en una superficie lisa. Aquí quería que los poros se vieran.
Investigando encontré como preparaba Francis Bacon sus telas, la solución era una dura creta con pigmentos, el tema con esta preparación es que cualquier mancha por muy sutil queda registrada en la pieza y no hay forma de borrarla sin levantar la base.
Eso lo convirtió en una situación tensa por qué no había espacio para el error, cada pincelada tirada quedó registrada. Al terminarla sentí un gran alivio.
