‘We are all connected’I had the opportunity to walk around the @amsterdam.chess.open with my camera some time ago. I came in oblivious. But it was quite the experience. Chess is fascinating!What stood out to me most was the community. It’s Made up of the nicest people. All from different cultures, ages and backgrounds. Connected by the ‘simple’ game of chess.I tried to visualise this world and community in this photo series. Lowlands!! On film!!Still can’t really believe it. Last year I had the chance to pitch an idea to the Lowlands team. And they liked it!! This is the result :))@thysma_music composed this stunning piece of music for the film. Which gives it so much more feeling and depth. Pls check him out if you need anything music related !Thanks @onnopetersen for the dev/scan. And thanks @lowlands_fest for the trust Shot on @kodak_shootfilm 250D on a bolex h16This was my first time shooting motion picture film. Im afraid incant go back now. Its fkn stunning

My favorite street photos of 2024!Last year I discovered this thing called street photography.Trying to find and capture stories from the chaos around you is sooo addicting. It also makes you notice life, you need to be in the moment. Which makes it a very relaxing and mindful thing to do. Safe to say its my new favorite hobby.Honestly a bit scared to share this, as it feels quite personal. These are the stories/moments my eye lands on while walking around. I have no idea if they are ‘good’. But I care about them so I decided to share em Follow @straatplaat__byjacko if you want to see what other randomness I come across in the future :))
