Yahdy Sensei is an innovative DJ and cultural curator whose journey has taken him from Indianapolis to the vibrant music scenes of Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and beyond.
Known for his truly soulful genre-blending sets, Sensei offers a refreshing take on DJing. Yahdy’s music is often described as “happy music” — a feel-good, high-energy experience that brings strangers together on the dance floor like family.
His impressive career includes performances at Coachella and collaborations with major brands such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Smino and A$AP Ferg.
Yahdy Sensei has also made a name for himself internationally, becoming deeply immersed in the Japanese DJ scene. He has performed at some of Japan’s biggest and most iconic clubs, where he introduced his signature sound to a global audience.
In November 2023, Yahdy founded @_____dojo a transformative party and DJ platform where both artists and attendees are encouraged to “come as they are.”
Originally hosted at Paper Tiger Bar in Koreatown, _____dojo; quickly outgrew the space, evolving into a larger, immersive experience held at venues like High Tide in DTLA and Melrose House in East Hollywood.
With an emphasis on music discovery, dance, and community, _____dojo; has become LA’s sanctuary for soulful expression, drawing an eclectic audience of 200-500 attendees per event. As _____dojo; approaches its second year, Yahdy Sensei continues to redefine the party scene, creating spaces where music lovers can lose themselves in the moment.
@_____dojo family welcome the illustrious @vestia___ ! formerly known as Alysen James, Vestia is an internationally recognized DJ with a dynamic open-format style. Based in Los Angeles, she has played for top-tier artists such as Chris Brown & A$AP Ferg and worked with major brands and high-profile clients, including HBO and Issa Rae. Having recently rebranded, she continues to push musical boundaries, blending global sounds with an undeniable energy that keeps crowds moving, on their toes, and singing at the top of their lungs!
