For this dinner-performance we relate to the land and to one another, we engage in a practice of community–building. The evening includes a three-course Andean-inspired menu with courtesy drink pairings. A contribution of €50 reserves your place and supports an alpaca farm in the northern Peruvian Andes. The second edition of FIBER Space on October 8, featuring photos from the interactive performance by artist Ramiro Wong. @______wong „Celebrations“ the performance-installation project draws on Wong’s ongoing research into food as a site of memory, migration, and identity. The performance expands on this investigation by presenting narratives that-much like the dishes being prepared/presented-are intended to be consumed. Stories and flavors unfold together, blurring the boundaries between language and taste. Thus, the act of consumption becomes a shared experience. FIBER space is a polyphonic place between art and discourse, expression and listening, contradiction and connection. The artistic positions reflect on origin, belonging, and identity, forming delicate, fiber-like connections that tolerate differences, celebrate commonalities, and create a space where people can engage in conversation with one another. Die Performance erweitert diese Untersuchung, indem sie Erzählungen präsentiert, die – ähnlich wie die zubereiteten/präsentierten Gerichte – zum Verzehr bestimmt sind. Geschichten und Aromen entfalten sich gemeinsam und verwischen die Grenzen zwischen Sprache und Geschmack. So wird der Akt des Verzehrs zu einer gemeinsamen Erfahrung. Celebrations ist ein fortlaufendes Werk, das einen Dialog über unsere Unterschiede, Hintergründe und Überzeugungen anregt. Es bietet einen Raum, in dem wir unsere Geschichten in der angenehmen Atmosphäre eines gemeinsamen Essens vergleichen und gegenüberstellen können und so temporäre Begegnungsräume schaffen.
