Sharing with you the program of the event, today we introduce María Belén Correa @belencorrea_arg María Belén Correa is a distinguished Argentine activist for transgender rights. Featured prominently in the film *Álbum de Familia* for her activism alongside Claudia Pia Baudracco, she will be speaking with us after the screening. Among the many projects that make up her career in the fight for the rights of the trans community, the founding of ATA (Association of Argentine Transvestites) alongside Claudia Pia Baudracco and other activists, now known as ATTTA (Association of Transvestites, Transsexuals, and Transgender People of Argentina), which was crucial in the passing of the gender identity law in Argentina; and the AMT (Trans Memory Archive), a pioneer in its field that views visibility as survival and memory as a form of justice. In every place she inhabited, Belén found ways to organize and continue the struggle. She will be honoring us with her presence, discussing the film and the story behind it. We encourage you not to miss this opportunity to reflect on memory, collective organization, and the work that people like her have done to change the reality of the trans community. Sharing with you the program of the event, today we introduce @juanilovekami and the project behind @loqueelfuegonosencendio for the @hijosdelsolcomechingon Juani López is the central figure of *Lo que el fuego nos encendió*, and she will be in conversation with us after the screening of the movie. She is a travesti casqui curaq (a social, political, and spiritual leader) of the Hijos del Sol Comechingón community, whose life story embodies the defense of the territory. She will be sharing with us what it means to inhabit and defend the territory of their community against colonialism, as a transgender identity. In the Cuniputo Valley, ancestral Comechingón territory, the fire swept away flora, fauna, and sacred sites. But it also sparked something else: memory, ancestral vestiges, and the initiative to build a dissident Indigenous refuge/campground to protect the life, culture, and autonomy of the Hijos del Sol Comechingón Community, where La Juani lives and resists. This refuge is not just infrastructure. It is territorial defense. It is a sanctuary for Indigenous and dissident identities. It is a community-based and solidarity-driven economy. It is living memory. Queremos remarcar que Estado de Emergencia es un evento que destina todos los fondos recaudados a diferentes organizaciones que están acompañando a lxs más afectadxs por la crisis actual en el territorio argentino. En esta edición vamos a colaborar con las siguientes organizaciones /más info en los slides/: ✭ Cocina comunitaria ubicada en “La Favela”, una villa en las afueras de la capital de la provincia de Córdoba, que alimenta a niños en situación de extrema precariedad. ✭ @espaciotolomocho , un espacio y colectivo artístico y político autogestionado liderado por personas trans con discapacidad LGBTIQ+ en la ciudad de La Plata, Buenos Aires. ✭ @mesa.coordinadora.jubiladxs , coordina movilizaciones semanales y otras actividades de resistencia a los recortes y retrocesos en materia de derechos, de los jubilados y pensionados en todo el país. ✯✯✯✯✯ eng We would like to emphasize that Estado de Emergencia is an event that donates all funds to different organizations that are supporting those most affected by the current crisis in Argentina.
