These were some highlights of the PEACEFUL PROTEST in Denver.
I have a message for everyone: You’re going to see these protest mainly painted in a bad light. You’re going to see news channels that were not with us as we marched, that were not with us when we kneeled on the ground as a sign of peace, that were not with us when police initiated the violence, but they are going to say the cops ‘were forced’ to take ‘non-lethal’ measures to disperse the crowd and they’re going to say that these were violent riots. I need the people to know that these were peaceful, not a single soul provoked the first wave of tear gas, flashbangs and rubber bullets on Saturday May 30th on pearl and colfax in Denver. The police opened fire just because they could. I want everybody to know that during this protest we were UNIFIED. It didn’t matter what race, religion, gender, orientation or anything else. We were ONE, one cause fighting against police brutality. One cause fighting centuries of oppression. One cause fighting racism and bringing light to these topics. No matter what happens I want all of you, people that were at the protest or the ones who couldn’t attend to spread the narrative that these were peaceful protests, that these were unifying protests, that these protests CAN and WILL bring positive change. Do NOT let the media and authority’s UNDERMINE the BLACK LIVES MATTER movement. We are ONE and together we can make CHANGE.
