Thank you to everyone who joined us for “Ad hoc Orchestra” by Evelyn Anastasiou.
The exhibition, on view from March 14 to April 12, brought together sound, photography, silkscreen, and sculpture in a thoughtful exploration of rhythm, memory, and visual composition.
Drawing on influences ranging from punk and symphonic orchestras to post-war film musicals, Anastasiou created a layered, multisensory space that reflected on communication and forms of togetherness.
We’re grateful to all who visited, engaged, and supported the exhibition.

Join us on March 14th at 6 PM for the opening of Evelyn Anastasiou’s exhibition titled “Ad hoc Orchestra”! 👨🏻🎤
ℹ️Evelyn Anastasiou’s practice draws inspiration from disparate musical traditions, attempting to create a space made up of auditory and visual elements. New modes of association and communication are born through the assemblage of seemingly incompatible worlds. From the revolutionary energy of today’s punk scenes to the harmonious collaboration of the members of a symphonic orchestra, to the exaggerated, almost delirious, joy of post-war film musicals.
Having been immersed in this festival’s culture for over a decade, Evelyn’s exhibition captures the raw energy, resistance, and self-organization that define the punk movement.
Her latest work is inspired by the DIY spirit of the Puntala-Rock Festival in Lempäälä, Finland, a landmark event in the Nordic punk scene. @puntalarock
Join us next Friday 14/03, 6PM-9PM for the opening of the exhibition “Ad hoc Orchestra” by Evelyn Anastasiou.
ℹ️Evelyn Anastasiou’s practice draws inspiration from disparate musical traditions, attempting to create a space made up of auditory and visual elements. New modes of association and communication are born through the assemblage of seemingly incompatible worlds. From the revolutionary energy of today’s punk scenes to the harmonious collaboration of the members of a symphonic orchestra, to the exaggerated, almost delirious, joy of post-war film musicals.
The interconnection of disparate, and at first glance incongruous worlds, as realized within the exhibition space, is achieved through the visual, sound and three-dimensional works. It is an attempt to disturb the
invocation of predetermined interpretive schemes, while opening up the prospect of new modes of reaction.
Through the juxtaposition of images, orchestral sounds and the repurposing of paraphernalia, Evelyn’s practice aims to transform the exhibition space into an arena, a scene of protest and free expression, where through the rupture of the established state of affairs, new
perspectives of communication and peaceful coexistence can be born.
Exhibition duration: 14th March – 12th April 2025
Opening hours: Thursday & Friday 17:00-20:00, Saturday 11:00-13:00
