My @themuddshow set from april with @laak.club is now out in the wild. It was a strange one to record, hands shaky and pretending to be calm while the decks felt like moving portals. I have to say, it turned out stranger and slower than expected, maybe because I was holding on it so tightly.
Grateful anyways for the chance to share some other frequencies than usual. Hope it takes you somewhere 🕳️ 🪞✨

New tea words feel like small daydreams to me. Which one do you like most?
℘ Shengtai - ecological gardens focusing on maintaining a balanced ecosystem within the tea garden
℘ Chu Zhan - the stage of growth when the buds are just beginning to open
℘ Jīn Huā - golden spores on Fu brick tea, grown naturally on special dark tea leaves
℘ Gan Lu - describing high-quality tea, literally means "sweet dew”
Last Sunday lingered in the nicest way, filling cups and sharing all that I have learned about tea over the years with a circle of enthusiasts felt very rewarding. I really appreciate everyone’s sincere curiosity and warm energy! Thank you again @catelijneboele for the invitation! Your artworks kept our minds inspired and our eyes happy. Robbin’s journey with tea began when a Chinese tea master opened the door to a world she never knew existed. What started as curiosity soon became something much deeper. Through tea, she discovered layers of culture and meaning that mirrored her relationship with music—both grounded in listening, presence, and an openness to life’s subtle nuances.
As her path with tea unfolded, her respect for its history and the cultures surrounding it continued to grow. When she drinks tea, she feels connected to the people who live with the plants, who care for the land, and who protect the forests. Through taste, the mountains and riverbeds where the tea grows become present, deepening her connection and love for tea over time.
This journey led her to create blend, a project exploring the intersection of tea and music cultures, and cultivating spaces for shared experience and connection. Robbin’s dream is to keep learning from this ancient wisdom—deepening her practice both personally and in ways that can be shared with others.

This Sunday, for our next blend sonic tea session we’re welcomed by @catelijneboele at her first solo exhibition ‘Zachte Drempel’ (Soft Threshold) at @seelab_thehague .
Her work feels very familiar to us as she also works with finding harmony in blends of colours, environments and temperatures, with depth and still feeling light. Like her dreamlike figures and natural elements, we did our best to create a playlist that carries the same feeling. Here are a few tracks that have touched us recently and will be part of the journey.
