@blancgallerychicago final exhibition of the year - Andresā Hernandezā ācode:
KING ALFRED,ā a conceptual exploration of The King Alfred Plan, written by John A. Williams in his 1967 novel The Man Who Cried I Am.
Williams convincingly details The King Alfred Plan as a secret government proposal to capture, detain, and eliminate Black Americans en masse in the event of nationwide urban rebellion. Upon the novelās release, and as a result of Williamsā guerrilla marketing activities, the King Alfred Plan became a significant point of community and national debate, and a wake-up call to Black people for the potential of state-sponsored internment and genocide.
On November 2 at 1:30pm, DJ Harlem Masimba and 9MAGICFOREVER1 reflect on the exhibition and the King Alfred Plan in two part performance, beginning with a stylized DJ set by Harlem Masimba, and a textural live performance by multi-instrumentalist and producer 9MAGICFOREVER1.

TRENCH: 001, the first installment of a new party series in Chicago. Highlighting diaspora and the sounds that are born from itās many corners.
For our first event we welcome the legendary @dj_travella_mr_mixondo , all the way from Tanzania, Africa. The pioneer of the Dar es Salaam Singeli wave has been setting the world on fire with his high energy production style and sporadic live arrangements, and we are proud to give him a warm welcome for his Chicago debut.
Local talent is comprised of; @j.cordova___ , @9magicforever1 , @spliffanyevans , @shirtless___ and @andrewgoestohell .
Although we are not fundraising for this inaugural event, we will be donating a portion (or the entirety) of proceeds to mutual aid, grassroots orgs, and under-resourced communities at future events.

The past few years have felt like surviving in a sci-fi dystopia. A world twisted by greed, betrayal, illness, and illusion. Iāve lost loved ones. Been hurt and hurt others. Watched close ones turn cold. Fought off self-sabotage, setbacks, and moments so dark I couldnāt see a way forward.
But through all that chaos, I built myself back brick by brick. Stared into the void and found something new: resilience. A new path. An altered destiny.
Iām grateful to everyone whoās held me down, showed love, and believed in me when I was still figuring it all out. This is just the beginning of something greater.
The darkest nights taught me how to see the horizon.
