The Radioactive Project remembers the life of ensemble member, David Kahles, as he transitions into another dimension. David was clever, funny, and sweet. He was enthusiastic about art and was a special part of the Radioactive Project. We are incredibly sad to hear about his passing but will remember him for the work he contributed to the project and the friendships and community he helped build in our small classroom inside the confines of Cook County Jail. Your smile and energy will be greatly missed, David. Here is an erasure poem/haiku David made during the first few weeks of our workshop. As you can tell, he was utterly creative. Rest in power and peace.
