One skate camp ends, and another begins! Last week, we hosted a park intensive skate camp. This week, we’ve got street skaters in town, crushing their tricks and getting feedback and tips from coaches @maddy_balt and @etienne.trudeau . The gals at this camp are preparing for an upcoming competition in Seattle and are working hard on their trick sets. The crew will head down to the comp together once camp ends. Good luck, ladies!

It’s tri season! Last weekend, local athlete @liamdonnellytri won the elite men’s category of the 2026 Asia Triathlon Cup Subic Bay, and @jamieharkerr placed 20th in the elite women’s field. Congrats you two! @sunnieleishman_ placed 25th in the junior elite women’s category at the 2026 USAT Triathlon Richmond Virginia and @siahjo11 won the men’s overall sprint at the 3026 Cherry Blossom Triathlon Kelowna. A great start to the VTC season!

MAY 12! At 6 PM! Join us for an evening with Jeremy Sheppard Ph.D where we’ll discuss performance in high risk, high pressure sports. The presentation will be held in the Dogwood Room at Saanich Commonwealth Place. Who is Jeremy Sheppard? Jeremy Sheppard has been working in high-performance athletes since 1993. Prior to returning to Canada, he held hybrid Strength & Conditioning Coach and Sport Science/Medicine leadership positions with Surfing Australia (World Championship Tour), Australian Volleyball (World League, Olympic team), Queensland Academy of Sport, Nike, and the world-renowned Australian Institute of Sport. Outside of the Olympic movement, Jeremy has worked for and advised the New York Jets, Newcastle United Football Club, Melbourne Storm, and Gold Coast Suns. Coach Sheppard has had the good fortune of helping athletes do something special at numerous summer and winter Olympics (2000, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2022), X Games, Continental Championships, World Tour, and World Championships events. Link in bio to sign up! Registration is under “Upcoming Events.” Featured flicks: some of our enduro riders from a recent camp!

From junior phenom to Olympian, Pete’s rĂ©sumĂ© speaks for itself. 𝗘𝗼𝗿đ—č𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝘆𝘀 With junior national titles in mountain bike cross-country, road time trial, and cyclocross, a silver in the junior cross-country race at the UCI World Championships, and a gold at a junior World Cup event in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec under his belt by the end of 2013, it was no surprise when Disera went pro the following year. At age 22, he won his first elite Canadian title, defeating Olympian Raphael GagnĂ©. đ—ąđ—» đ˜đ—”đ—Č đ—„đ—¶đ˜€đ—Č In 2018, he joined the World Cup Circuit and as his official Olympic biography says, “was a consistent top-20 threat” by his second season. 2019 career highlight: a 6th place finish at the World Cup in Les Gets, France. đ—§đ—”đ—Č 𝗱đ—č𝘆đ—șđ—œđ—¶đ—° đ— đ—Œđ—șđ—Čđ—»đ˜ At the 2019 World Championships in Mont-Sainte-Anne, a crowd chanting his name pulled him back from the brink during a tough race - giving him his best Worlds result yet. He carried that energy all the way to Tokyo 2020, where he placed 26th. Now he’s channelling all of that drive into 94 Forward. You’ll see lots of Peter next month as he leads our enduro and XC camps and we’ve got quite a few on the schedule.

Still thinking about the UCI Pacific XC mountain bike races the other weekend 😼‍💹 April is shaping up to be a massive month for mountain biking here at 94 Forward. We’re kicking things off with an XCO camp, an enduro camp, and visits from some XC and gravity pros - and that’s just the start. It’s going to be one exciting spring!

It’s race day! Victoria athlete @maia.watson is ready to take on the Oceanside 70.3! Today’s field is stacked, but we know Maia is ready to go head-to-head with some of the best pros around. Maia filled us in: “IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas-Little Elm was a good rust buster. I made some nutrition mistakes and it took a moment to remember how to ride 90km at threshold. I was sick, but I have recovered well and look forward to racing Oceanside healthy!” Good luck today, Maia! Fellow Victoria-based triathlete @bmantriathlon was also looking forward to competing at Oceanside, but had to withdraw due to illness.

The Victoria Triathlon Collective was in Haikou, China this past weekend to put their winter builds to the test. @sophiagracehowell and @martin.sobey raced in the elite categories of the World Triathlon Cup and placed 18th and 14th, respectively. What’s next for the collective? There’s a break in racing until late April, but @emmabean_jean , @aiden_l_h and @henrybristol are all competing this weekend at the Gulfport Americas Cup Race in Mississippi. Good luck, crew!

Keep an eye out for these swim caps at Commonwealth! Our Victoria Triathlon Collective takes over the pool a few times each week. This group of dedicated local triathletes work together to maximize local resources and facilities. They support one another as they each train towards their own unique goals.

Bowl action with @zoe_zollinger_ We are constantly amazed by our skaters’ “one more run” mentality. They fall, they get back up, they try again - endlessly. They don’t give up, and even when they land the trick, it’s not enough. They’ll keep practicing until it’s second nature. Incredibly inspiring!
