Dr. Papa …
Warning 🚨 this post is totally a daughter/mom brag, but for our family/friends/patients who love Dr. Morgan… you’ll enjoy this too.
It’s easy being Papa. Not so fun when Papa has to put on his loupes and be Dr. Morgan for his grandbabies.
Cora (my middle daughter) needed two fillings this week so Papa went to work. Let me tell you what happened next:
Dad completed two fillings on Cora WITHOUT any anesthetic! And Cora’s only discomfort was the head rest mid procedure 😳
Read that two times slow- NO anesthetic!
I have to give credit #1 to my tough kid. She sat through it for a trip to @ultabeauty (totally worth it 😂). And #2 Papa’s gentle technique. #3 Just for more cred, Michael said that one filling was a pretty decent size.
I thought this was a post worth writing because it’s a fun story and also, when you’re in our office you’re treated like family. Which is not to say you won’t get anesthetic 😂 Dr. Morgan takes care to make sure every patient is comfortable and relaxed in our chair. We have the ability to sedate patients when needed or wanted.
I’m just saying… if a dentist is THAT good- that he can gently perform two fillings with no anesthetic on a 13 year old…y’all… he’s pretty dang good.

I was going to find some pretty picture of me and Davis doing something fun and exciting. But, as we sit here quietly on the couch this morning nursing his new knee, drinking coffee, and doing our morning reading, I decided that this is what we love most. We’re still having fun, but mostly we’re happy to be together and healthy. Here’s to 45!
We want to invite friends, former students, and all that knew and loved Ray Morgan, to join us as we celebrate his life. Davis and I now live in Lubbock. We’d love to see you!
