“Eigengrau is the color of darkness we perceive with our own eyes”.
But Eigengrau isn't an absence; rather, it's the presence of a veil. It's the canvas our own vision paints when the world goes quiet, a dreamlike grey that emerges from the silence of light.
Imagine closing your eyes and not finding an abyssal blackness, but instead a whisper of color, a private canvas where the first glimmers of dreams take shape. It's the echo of perception, the faint glow our mind weaves when our sight rests, the intimate twilight that dwells within us. A color that doesn't belong to the outside world, but to the deep mystery of our own gaze.

“Eigengrau es el color de la oscuridad que percibimos con nuestros propios ojos”.
Pero Eigengrau no es la ausencia, sino la presencia de un velo. Es el lienzo que pinta nuestra propia visión cuando el mundo se apaga, un gris onírico que emerge del silencio de la luz.
Imagina cerrar los ojos y no hallar la negrura abismal, sino un susurro de color, un lienzo privado donde se gestan los primeros destellos de los sueños. Es el eco de la percepción, el tenue resplandor que nuestra mente teje cuando la vista descansa, la penumbra íntima que nos habita. Un color que no pertenece al exterior, sino al profundo misterio de nuestra propia mirada.

"A veces, para avanzar, hay que mirar hacia adentro."
Muy pronto llega "Coda". Un trabajo desnudo, personal y cuidado al detalle.
Para darle forma, he vuelto a confiar en la producción y masterización de Bioskope. Además, he tenido la fortuna de contar con las colaboraciones especiales de Raúl del Olmo, Reluz y el propio Bioskope.
Queda muy poco para que sea vuestro.

I had the pleasure of doing the sound design, mixing and mastering for the new EP by 74 Robots, Eigengrau.
Working on this project means a lot to me @andresmenchen is not only one of the artists I admire and respect the most, but also a good friend with a unique sensitivity and vision for music.
Eigengrau is a beautiful example of how deep, emotional and immersive his sound can be, and it’s been an honour to help shape it
