OPEN CALL: GROUP CRIT 3 May 29th - June 21st 2026 GROUP CRIT is an open call inviting artists to share their work in progress. As a fundamental part of art education, group critique invites students to engage in open discussions about progression and practice. It is a useful exercise where you gain feedback on your ongoing work and reflect together through critical thinking and conversation. 69 are introducing group critique in a public format where we gather and examine the creative, fun and frustrating process with an external audience and all the participating artists. The project will culminate in a four-week exhibition, including group crit-sessions with each artist on scheduled dates. You may apply wherever you are in your process and with all types of media. Your application should include a description of your project and preferably documentation (images/video). Send to [email protected] before May 4th.

Documentation of «Speed Tongue» by Elise Nohr April 24th - May 17th Speed Tongue is a solo exhibition spanning performance, video, and sculpture to explore intimacy, power, vulnerability, and desire. Nohr combines humor and corporeality to examine the tension between desire and fear, where the erotic and the pathetic coexist side by side. The exhibition challenges power structures, performative confidence, and the ambiguity of eroticism. «The eyes are the nipples of the face» by Anna Farris in The House Bunny (2008) has been an inspiration for a performance taking place on the opening. The project merges the masculine aesthetics of motorsport with vulnerability, reflecting on speed, control, the gaze, and intimacy. Nipples play a central role in Nohr’s artistic practice. Drawing a parallel between the eyes and nipples, the statement implies that the eyes, like nipples, play an important role in evoking desire and attraction. The exhibition is curated by Nora Stangebye and Luca Sørheim. Supported by Kulturrådet and Oslo Kommune.

Documentation of «Supernatural Realism» by Esra Düzen and Lykourgos Porfyris. March 20th - April 12th Is spirituality a way to temporarily escape from our realistic dystopia, or is it a way to work on a change of material realism? Does heaven replicate the image of a utopian society, or is the struggle towards utopia inspired by the idea of heaven? In this duo show, Esra Düzen and Lykourgos Porfyris are discussing the ideas of dialectic materialism, religious dogmatism, cultural domination, and spiritual colonialism. Both artists are making new myths beyond dominant narratives, through the recreation and reinterpretation of stories embodied in various forms of legendary oral or written storytelling. Through their works «The Wailers» and «Prayers for Togetherness and Other Beautiful Cringe» the duo invite for a collective ritual of praying and crying for one last time. The exhibition is curated by Luca Sørheim and Nora Stangebye.
