Delighted to announce our next judge for this year’s Challenge, please welcome @simeonhalligan !
Simeon is a RCA graduate, with four features under his belt, including his latest, Past Life, which has just screened at festivals around the world including BIFFF. His films have screened and won awards at festivals including; Sitges, Screamfest LA, Fantasporto, Leeds, New York City and many more. Simeon is also the director of UK genre film festival, Grimmfest.

Tiago Teixeira is a director and screenwriter born in Rio de Janeiro and based in London focused on high-concept, boundary-pushing genre cinema. A Berlinale Talents alumnus, his debut feature Custom premiered in the FrightFest strand at the Glasgow Film Festival and went on to screen at international festivals including Razor Reel and the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.

Very excited to announce that we’ll be kicking off a short series of Instagram live interviews next week. A few of last year’s entries have gone on to find success at film festivals and even pick up some awards, so we wanted to catch up with last year’s Challengers and get the low down on their films!
