Car is ready. Trailer contents checklist being checked off. We roll out May 6th for our first ever race and hopefully the beginning of the biggest adventure of our life. @crosstheline77 is my “wrong seat”, navigator, MacGyver, keep chill and drive on co-dawg.
If you knew me growing up, I had stacks of @4wheeloffroad , Dirt magazine, Off-road magazine, and every hot rod publication. Never threw away an issue and still have some to this day 35 years later. Hot rods, rock crawling, and Baja were my aspiring things to each for. Build, drive, experience. Through hard work, dedication, and most importantly faith and patience with His timing, I can say I’m crossing off the last thing on my childhood bucket list. Also to note, Shawn has been part of every moment. We used to build crawlers in the dirt by his house when I was 16. We went to TTC in ‘06, he’s helping me turn the Belair into a sleeper hotrod, and now we’re racing in the desert. Blessed beyond measure. Grateful to have family support and a 30+ year friendship to live this life. #carterfabmachine #godisgood #ultra4 #storr #bomberfabrication
Can't wait to take the green flag again in June for the @yorracing #bigsky200 !

Throwing it back to King of the Hammers with Payton Dumford putting in work and pushing through one of the toughest races out there.
When the terrain gets rough, your wheels better be ready. Rocks, ruts, hard hits, nonstop punishment—Bullite Wheels handled it like they’re built to.
Real race conditions. Real abuse. Real proof.
Built stronger to take your journeys further.

Feels like it’s been loading for the last two months as it all comes back together. Like watching the spinning ball of death on the computer but now it’s almost done. Sitting back on its own with shocks rebuilt and some new rear coil carriers. Time to make a list and start marking things off and getting seat time in prep for first race. #carterfabmachine #bomberfabrication #ultra4 #kingshocks #3262
@5zero3designs got us some new window nets with certification and sent her a template for a custom “A” pillar screen also and the fit is flawless. Quick turn around also for being handmade products. #carterfabmachine #handmadecustoms #supportsmallbusiness #ultra4 #bomberfabrication
Posting a bit later than planned, but made it home from the Hammers on Sunday afternoon. Rain on the way north from Redding cleaned everything up, but it kept dumping as I unloaded. Enclosed trailer was looking pretty good right about then!
Thanks again to everyone who supported this build and journey to the green flag. Post race damage report to follow, then straight into prep for the next one!

KOH 2026 has come and gone. We gave it our best and left with memories, lessons learned and an enormous amount of dust.
The race itself: Tyler and I were cruising along lap 1, made it through the first rock trail and started out into more desert when we noticed a flat. Got it changed and then caught up to about 10 cars stuck in sand. We spent probably 20+ minutes winching up a hill.(We both hate sand so much)
Made it back to complete lap 1, took gas at the pits and off to start lap 2. Made a few passes on spooners, cruising along through the rocks I noticed the jeep was running a bit hot so pulled off into the shade to let it cool.
Right as we did the upper radiator hose coupler blew since temps reached almost 240°. We let it cool all the way, patched it back good enough we also discovered one of the fans weren’t working. Trying hot wiring it but to no success as the fan was dead. We just threw the water we had in the radiator and floored it through the rest of Outer limits on course to the remote pit.
There, we coasted in boiling hot and thanks to lots of guys @vetts_in_motorsports and numerous other teams we made the fix a bit more permanent and topped off proper coolant to push on to the rocks.
Made it all the way to Jack hammer before the lower hose went as jeep was still running extremely hot.
Still need to diagnose everything but I’m just thankful for everyone who helped and supported us.💙
Alex, Tyler, Shane, Loren, Justin, John, Ben, Dave and the Aussie crew, plus all our friends and family back home
See yall at the next one🤘🏼
