📆Date: 18 May 2026 (Monday)
🕞Time: 15:30–17:30
📍Venue: CUHK, KHB G24
We are honoured to welcome two special guests: Ms. Shiela Tebia-Bonifacio, Chairperson of GABRIELA Hong Kong @gabriela_hongkong , and Ms. Johannie Tong, Community Relations Officer of Mission for Migrant Workers (MFMW). They will share their work in Hong Kong and speak about the challenges of migrant workers’ labour-rights advocacy through feminist and reproductive labour perspectives. They will also provide updates on their work following the Tai Po fire, as well as reflections on the coming 45th anniversary of MFMW.
For the book sharing, Aaron Lam (FAA MFA) will share his thoughts on Lin Zhao’s Tidal Chart. Through close reading of selected passages, we will explore how this text imagines the world through a non-human perspective, while Aaron also reflects on his own art practice, shaped by his family biography.
In addition, Wong Ka Ying KY (CULS PhD) will share her reading of Sheila Rowbotham’s Women, Resistance and Revolution and Donna Haraway’s Simians, Cyborgs, and Women, and discuss how these texts have inspired her socially engaged art projects and commitments to social justice.
Refreshments and drinks will be provided. CUHK students and faculty members are warmly welcome; general public registration is required via DM💌

Hi friends—
I’m currently working on a project about intergenerational memory and migration, and I’m looking to collect stories about how our parents or grandparents moved from one place to another.
It doesn’t have to be a formal story—just fragments, feelings, or a moment that stayed with you. We can chat casually or by message—whatever feels most comfortable to you.
Venue: Eaton Hotel
Date: August 1–3, 2025
DM me if you’re interested in sharing. 💌
This is part of a public event for the group exhibition <Out of Delivery: Emotional Migration in Hong Kong>, taking place this August at the Goethe-Institut Hong Kong, curated by Wong Ka Ying. @hedoesntgiveashit
