David Bowie: You’re Not Alone officially opens today at @_lightroomldn !
As Bowie fans, it’s been a real pleasure to design this show and bring his creative world and legacy to life. We’re excited for audiences to experience the 360° projected film, explore Bowie’s creative world firsthand, and feel transported through time to see him up-close and personal in performance and conversation.
Produced by Lightroom and developed in collaboration with the David Bowie Estate, 59 has written, designed, and directed the show led by 59’s Mark Grimmer and Tom Wexler.
We can't wait to share more about the work, but for now, come and see the show!
The Last Ship has docked in Australia! ⚓
Over the weekend, the musical opened at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, becoming the first production to be staged in the venue’s brand-new theatre.
We're pleased to see a wonderful reception of the show in Queensland, having designed the set, video, and lighting, with 59’s Leo Warner directing.
“The set, by renowned projection design company 59 Studio, is striking and immersive. The digital projections blend so seamlessly with the physical scenery that at times it is tricky to tell where one ends and the other begins.” - The Guardian
We’re delighted that Australian audiences can now experience the industrial world of Wallsend and the powerful story behind Sting’s The Last Ship.

One year ago today, the Osaka Expo began, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion opened its doors to visitors.
We worked with @doneanddustedtv on the 6 months of cultural programming for the Saudi pavilion, bringing together artists and craftspeople from KSA. Creative and music studios provided the space for art to be created onsite in front of guests and then showcased live across gallery spaces and nightly projection-mapped shows. We also worked with @fosterandpartners to weave culture, history, and art into the very fabric of the pavilion, enhancing the storytelling of the physical structure.
Across @journeydotworld ’s scope on the pavilion, we also enhanced the immersive experience for guests by incorporating physical artefacts, interactive elements, haptic walls, and films that further tell the story of the region.
Our latest project: Apple’s 50th Birthday, Mumford & Sons performance!
We created the projection video designs that lit up the power station, creating a dramatic backdrop for the show as audiences gathered below for a surprise performance.
Utilising the building’s facade as a canvas, we used projection design to extend the set beyond the physical stage and screens, transforming the entire power station into part of the performance. The visuals spread across the chimney towers, creating a large, striking show that could be experienced both up close and from afar.
We’re pleased to share these additional images of the work. You can head to our website to read more about the project.

It’s been one year since Stranger Things: The First Shadow opened on Broadway!
In March 2025, the show debuted on the Marquis Theatre’s stage, transporting audiences back to 1959 Hawkins, a prequel to the hit Netflix series. Creating the video design and visual effects for a show known for its complex visual worlds and special effects, with an existing cult audience, was a challenge, but one we approached with tremendous excitement.
Working closely with set designer Miriam Buether, we created video design and effects that make audiences ask, "How the hell did they do this?” - The New York Times

Last week, we created projection designs for a surprise @mumfordandsons performance for @apple ’s 50th birthday event at Battersea Power Station.
Our projections lit up the power station to create a dramatic backdrop for the show as audiences gathered below.
Using this iconic piece of historical London architecture as the canvas for projection design is always a fun challenge for us! Well done to everyone involved in this project.
