Comme des Garçons Homme Plus SS11
A year following the sudden death of McQueen, Kawakubo used this collection in tribute to a fashion great. Skulls emblazoned across all looks, in such great numbers to diminish the darker undertones, instead radiating light and warmth.

2004 BAPE Full-zip Denim Jacket.
This was BAPE in its early 2000s sweet spot. Nigo at the helm, experimenting with Americana in the form of Denim & Varsity Cuts, while still keeping the brand’s cartoonish, in your face energy. BAPE sat in an interesting place at the time, somewhere between hip-hop stagewear and Harajuku subculture uniform.

Issey Miyake “O” Watch. Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka
The Issey Miyake “O” watch, by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka, is an iconic example of design innovation. Produced in collaboration with Seiko Instruments, the “O” (from the French eau, meaning “water”) was conceived as a minimal, transparent watch that embodies lightness and fluidity.
Its striking form is achieved with a single piece clear bangle bracelet made from transparent plastic, with a stainless steel case seamlessly embedded within. The result is a sculptural timepiece that is both wearable and a work of art.
