Oh the sun did shine for this beautiful boho wedding and the @theoliveterraceeltham at @theoakseltham was the perfect little sun trap for this gorgeous day! ☀️ We brought all the rustic boho vibes for this one and came back after the ceremony to do the switch around for the wedding breakfast after and continue the gorgeous styling throughout the day! 🤩 The Oaks has a special place in our heart because this is where we got married! We’ve had at least one wedding or event here every year since getting married but nothing for 2027! I’m not keeping the sauce for myself!🤩 As a professional stylist this is how I ensure that your wedding or event looks elevated, so listen up so you can too! 1) This doesn’t mean you can only use one colour and you must throw it around everywhere 😂 For example, You can have a rainbow colour palette which is only represented by the napkins and everything else is kept neutral, this will show consistency and an instant pop of colour! Be mindful not to use too many colours that don’t complement each other though! 2) Nothing says “Ohh la la” more than a layered table! 😜 Layer the charger plates, stack the centrepiece, bring in the different complementing styles of tea light holders and don’t lay the table runner flat! Adding texture and height to your table instantly elevates it. 3) Who doesn’t love candlelight!? 🕯️ Instant romance, instant vibe, super pretty! It’s the easiest way to elevate a space! I recently saw a table styled with just a single vase of flowers, no tea lights, no candlesticks, just white napkins on a white table cloth and I think they were going for a clean minimal look but honestly it just looked a bit flat, like they had no budget left! 😩 But to each their own! New Venue Alert ‼️ We had the pleasure of decorating @doubletreedartford for a gorgeous boho wedding last month and it was a real showstopper! Showcasing our Eliza collection paired with sage was a real beaut of a combination and gave me all the feels! I'm not crying...We ALL are crying! 🥹😅 God did not prepare me for how beautiful bringing this moment to life for this gorgeous couple was going to be! I was waiting downstairs with tears rolling into my scotch egg mate! 😂 This proposal was setup on the roof top terrace of @enderby_house overlooking the River Thames and the London skyline 😍 - Yes, it was THAT iconic! Let’s be real… 1. Pinterest is great for inspiration, but please stop trying to replicate these ideas, put your own spin on it, add some personality! It’s your day, make it your way! 2. Yes they offer but it’s not part of their job, it’s not something they enjoy doing and they have so many other things to think about in order to make sure your day goes smoothly! Leave it to the professionals! 3. You checked their website, their reviews, you’ve trawled their social media, you’ve seen their previous work, you’ve had the consultation and you trusted them to sign on the dotted line.
