¡Happy Cinco De Mayo! We're celebrating with two insane brews created for the occassion. Saison Limón is a farmhouse ale brewed with lime, Alaska sea salt, and a hint of smoked malt, then aged in an ex-white wine mezcal barrel for over a year. 8 Star Alaskaveza is a south of the border inspired version of 8 Star brewed with watermelon and the spice blend of taijin consisting of chili pepper, lime, and salt. ¡Salud!

Alaskaveza is back for the summer and it shall be henceforth known as 8 Star Alaskaveza. This version of our favorite light lager was crafted with watermelon, lime, chili pepper, and sea salt for added south of the border flavor and a hint of heat. Its best served "dressed-up" with a tajin rim and a slice of lime. You can find it now at 49th State Pubs and fine establishments across Alaska.

This Arbor Day, we’re celebrating Alaska’s iconic white birch trees with the release of @frontiersoda new White Birch Beer. Crafted with real birch syrup from Kahiltna Birchworks in Talkeetna, this soda features the classic birch beer notes of wintergreen and spice with additional berry and citrus fruitiness that replicates the flavor of the white birch trees that grow across Alaska. This Earth Day, we're raising a Golden Dall to Mother Earth. Golden Dall is a great beer brewed for a great cause: a portion of the profits from the sale of each glass or can of Golden Dall is donated to the Conservation Alliance to help preserve wild spaces in Alaska and beyond for education and recreation, a cause we are proud to stand behind.

49th State's new brewmaster, Joel Shields, has joined the team after nearly 17 years of brewing at @rogueales , where he oversaw all production as brewmaster. Joel's history with 49th State goes way back, though. He originally met 49th State founder David McCarthy in brewing school years ago. Now the two can finally work together. His addition to our team marks a new era of quality, consistency, innovation, and growth for our brand. Who is this mysterious new brewmaster of ours? Here are a few facts about him: - His favorite 49th State beer is Solstice IPA. He loves IPAs but is not a fan of hazy ones. - When brewing beer, his favorite tunes to jam out to are folk mixes on Spotify. - When brewing Frontier Soda, his favorite tune to jam out to is Def Leopard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" on repeat. - The thing he's most excited about in Alaska is experiencing the majesty of Denali firsthand. - He's originally from Spokane, Washington, where he's killed over 30 rattlesnakes while working on wheat ranches as a teen. The last pic shows one such casualty. Welcome to the team, Joel!

Dankorage DIPA is back on draft and in cans at our Downtown Anchorage Pub just in time for the 4/20 holiday. Dry-hopped with Krush, Nectaron, and Columbus Cryo hops, we added an extra special ingredient: cannabis terpenes from the Blackberry Kush strain, which lends dank cannabis aromas and flavors without the THC. The result is a super dank double IPA oozing with notes of ripe passionfruit and juicy grapefruit.
