A spring refresh for the babydoll sheep 🐑✂️🌱 Shearing season is an important part of caring for our flock, especially as the weather starts warming up on the Central Coast. Removing their wool helps keep the sheep cool and comfortable through spring and summer, while also helping prevent overheating and keeping their coats clean and healthy. Our babydoll sheep did amazing, and by the end of the day they were back out grazing the grass looking just a little lighter for the season! We are so grateful to @brittanyapp and @mengelism for making the entire experience feel gentle and stress-free for both us and the sheep 💛

600 hens, green pasture, and a whole lot of care 🐓🌱 At 46 Ranch, our pasture-raised hens spend their days outdoors on fresh grass, moving across the ranch in mobile coops that help naturally fertilize and regenerate the soil as they go. That care shows up in the eggs, from rich golden yolks and strong shells to the fresh flavor people notice right away. But for us, it's about more than eggs. It's about caring for the animals, supporting healthy soil, and building a regenerative system that benefits the animals, the pasture, and the food we grow season after season. Tap the link in our bio to read more about our hens, regenerative farming practices, and life here at 46 Ranch! 💛 #46ranch #pastureraisedeggs #regenerativefarming #centralcoastca

What life on the ranch has looked like lately 🌱🐑🐐🐓 From babydoll sheep and goats out grazing the pasture and happy chickens enjoying the green grass and sunshine, to all the small moments in between that fill our days. It takes hard work to care for this land and these animals, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Our hens are pasture-raised, and this is why it matters... 🐓Supports hen health: fresh grass on an irrigated pasture, sunshine, and space to roam help keep them active and happy 🐓Richer, more nutrient-dense eggs: naturally higher in omega-3s and vitamins A, D, and E 🐓Encourages natural behavior: grazing, scratching, and exploring throughout the day 🐓Supports the land too: hens help fertilize the soil as they move across the pasture Find our hand-gathered, pasture-raised eggs at the @cambrianurseryflorist Farmstand and @primalhousepaso ! 🥚 #46ranch #regenerativefarming #pastureraised

One week of grazing, and the difference speaks for itself 🐑🌿 Our animals move through the pasture as part of a regenerative cycle, naturally trimming grasses and returning nutrients to the soil for stronger future crops. What you’re seeing here is what just a few days of steady, intentional grazing can do. It’s the land and animals working together, just as they should. Fun fact: Babydoll sheep may be small, but that’s exactly what makes them so useful 🐑 Their short height means they can easily graze grasses and weeds, while staying just low enough that once we have them graze our vineyard, the grapevines are left alone. It’s a simple, natural way to care for the land.

Some views never get old, especially from this hillside above our pond 🌿 With the Highlands grazing nearby and the water tucked just below, this is one of those spots we always love coming back to. Moments like this bring a lot of gratitude for the work, the animals, and the place we're so lucky to call home. ❤️

Odin and Freya on duty 🐾🐑 These two spend their days right alongside our babydoll sheep and goats, quietly keeping watch and making sure everyone is safe. It is part of the everyday rhythm out here, and they take such good care of the animals. They love being out here, and we feel pretty lucky to have them as part of the ranch 💛

Our hens spend their days foraging through green grass and enjoying the Central Coast sunshine 🐓🌞 This leads to eggs with rich color, flavor, and more nutrients than regular store-bought eggs. Each one is hand-gathered as part of our daily routine, and left unwashed to preserve their natural bloom. It’s a simple yet thoughtful rhythm that shows up in every carton! Find our pasture-raised eggs at the @cambrianurseryflorist Farmstand and @primalhousepaso . #pastureraisedeggs #farmtotable #regenerativefarming

Ever wonder where our pasture-raised eggs come from? 🥚🌿 They’re sourced straight from our sister property, @46_ranch , where the hens are family-raised, roam freely on irrigated pasture, and are hand-gathered with care each day. It’s simple, local goodness you can trust! Stop by the Farmstand and pick up a fresh dozen. Open daily, 9am-5pm. 🐔💚 #pastureraisedeggs #localproduce #centralcoastca
