This Sunday, we have a special treat for you! Queer line dance babes, the Spurs, are joining us from Toronto for a Liedertafel tea dance. In addition to our usual mix of curated songs and live requests, we will learn one of their original dances to Miss Chatelaine by k.d. laing. Plus Ken is making pierogies! We hope you can make it! Beginning on March 4, there will be a $5 cover (cash only) at the door on Wednesdays at Belvedere’s. As attendance has grown, a cover helps to ensure our growth remains sustainable and we are able to continue to provide a quality experience for our Community at Belvedere’s. This will allow us to meet our financial obligations, such as maintaining and replacing equipment, purchasing music, continuing to host our email server and website, and providing swag and other welcome table materials. As our Community has grown, so has the demand on Belvedere’s staff. A cover will help ensure our Wednesday dances remain sustainable for our dance home. Finally, we can offer more dance events, plan larger community gatherings, and possibly host our own dance convention in Pittsburgh. OUR COMMITMENT TO INCLUSION AND ACCESSIBILITY IS UNCHANGED. If $5 weekly isn’t feasible for you, you still belong here. We will continue to uphold a NOTAFLOF (No one turned away for lack of funds) policy. Squaredown 2.0 was so much fun!! The biggest thanks to @412step and @hoxxkx2 for collaborating and bringing line dancing and two-step to our square dance crowd. And we're so grateful to the 412Step attendees for joining us for some squares and @la_dingbat for calling! Both our old-time and country bands were phenomenal and really made the night a success. @odaveshepherd is a Pittsburgh music hero. Please send us any photos or video you have of the bands so we can thank them properly in another post! 412Step dances every Wed night @belvederesultradive and Steel City Squares dances monthly, usually at the Shiloh Center (both in Lawrenceville).

Fear not, SQUAREDOWN! is happening again! Our second annual collaboration square dance & honky tonk with @412step is next Saturday, Feb. 21. We'll be alternating sets of square dancing, line dancing, and partner dancing, with live music by Dave Shepherd and friends! Laura Almendinger will be calling the squares and the experts at 412Step will be teaching the line and partner dances. Note: this dance is again at Bloomfield Liedertafel! Doors open at 7 for potluck, mingling, and an open jam, and dancing is 8-11. BYOB and your water bottle. $15 suggested donation at the door, cash or Venmo. NOTAFLOF

Sign up in-person Wednesday, January 21 OR DM us / comment below with your song choice. Two people want the same song? Either we see if somebody will switch, or we duet! This only works if YOU sign up to sing, so sign up today!

Bring your own white T-Shirt, they’ll bring the tie dye set-up. Hang out, line dance, tie dye - it’s FREE!

Join us to ring in 2026 with 412Step! Doors open at 7. Bring a potluck dish to share if you’d like. Wear your dancing shoes. Bring a friend. Live music with 724Play. Tons of dancing. April 2025 - Part One

Join us THIS Saturday for our monthly last Saturday dance party! We’ll kick things off with 2 lesson options at 7pm. Take your pick between a beginner west coast swing lesson or line dance lessons from our friends at @412step ! Then starting at 8, dance the night away with music for west coast swing, line dancing, and even a little country two step! For the die hard westies, don’t worry, all the music will be west coast swing-able.
